Set in the heart of beautiful Cheshire countryside in High Legh, the Northwood Christian Centre is the perfect place for you to get away to.

April 2021 marked the 100th Anniversary of the site at High Legh being first used as a place for Christian Service.

As a Connexion, we felt that this should be marked and celebrated.  We hope that this promotional video will give you an insight into the beauty of NWCC and how it really is the ideal place for a day retreat or conference for your church fellowship, or just for a time of personal escape.

The Hall

The hall has various uses – from small church conferences, to fellowship and fun days! It has a large functional kitchen with commercial size appliances which allows easy catering for up to 50 in the main hall. Adjacent to the hall is a comfortable meeting room. Built in a conservatory style, it is a useful space to hold smaller meetings or to have a coffee break in. The disabled access enters into this room and the disabled toilet and shower, which are recent additions, allow users in wheelchairs to have good access to facilities.

There are 30 comfortable chairs for use in the hall, with a further 20 folding chairs available in a matching style (however these must be pre-booked). With folding 10 tables the hall caters for a variety of events.

The Cottage

The cottage can sleep up to six people and accommodate four comfortably. There are two bedrooms upstairs, one twin and one double, and each are furnished simply and yet attractively. The twin bedroom also has two visitor beds.  Downstairs in the lounge there are two sofas, one of which is a metal action sofa bed suitable for up to two people.

The Cottage Kitchen

The well equipped kitchen is stocked with all the necessary crockery and cooking implements and even has room for the dining table and chairs. Being an older property, there is a downstairs shower room and toilet.

The Lounge

The lounge is comfortable and quite large, with modern furnishings and yet retaining the cottage feel.

Fields

The centre also benefits from two large grassy fields that sit either side of the building. Christian camping or caravan groups are regular users of the site, along with church youth groups. Even if a stay overnight isn’t on your itinerary, the fields make an excellent space for games, sports and even  sitting outside and having lunch!
